This recipe is a good option for a Mid morning snack because , red beans are an excellent source of proteins. They are also rich in vitamins, fibers and antioxidants. They promote weight loss, promote colon health and moderates blood sugar levels.


Method

  • In a medium pot, over a medium heat, combine the soaked red beans with water, carrots, onion, tomato.
  • Add more water if required.
  • Bring it to a boil ,then reduce heat to  low and let it cook for sometime.
  • Add ketchup to get desired colour and taste.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Red Kidney Beans - 60gms

Water - 1cup

Baby Carrots - 2

Chopped onions - 1/2cup

Tomato - 1

Tomato Ketchup - 2tsp

Oil - 1tsp 

Salt and pepper -  to taste
