Tahini sauce complements other middle eastern recipe components and flavors. Used as a dip or sauce. It taste lovely with vegetables and other fresh herbed flavors. Tahini also goes with salad dressing, roasted or fresh vegetables.


  1. Take a dry pan, roast the sesame seeds with constant stirring until the light color changed.
  2. Place in a flat dish & cool it.
  3. Transfer it in a blender.
  4. Blend for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add oil 1 by 1 tbsp in the blender and blend for another few minutes until it gives smooth cream like texture.
  6. After sesame seed paste gets ready combine all the other ingredients water(slowly 1 by 1 cup), cumin seeds, lemon juice, garlic cloves and salt and blend it for few minutes stir in between to avoid clogging the blades and blend until gets creamy.
  7. Remove in an air tight jar.
  8. It can be stored for a month in a refrigerator.
  9.  Stir it once before using it. Enjoy with vegetables and salads.



Sesame seeds – 240 gms

Olive oil – 2 tbsp

Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp

Garlic - 2 cloves

Lemon juice – 2 tbsp

Water – 3 cups

Salt to taste
