Spinach oats soup is an aromatic, flavourful and delicious dish which is very popular. It is a recipe of delight which no one can resist. The name itself get juices flowing in your mouth and this dish has a heavenly experience in every bite. Spinach oats soup is one of the easiest recipe that can be made for quick breakfast and light dinner. It’s absolutely delicious, health and nourishing.


  • Heat oil in a pan and saute bay leaves, cinnamon stick and curry leaves. Then add onion and garlic and fry till they are soft.
  • Now add chopped spinach, oats, salt and saute on medium heat till spinach is soft and cooked.
  • Pour this mixture into blender and blend to make a smooth puree. Now pour this puree into a sauce pan and adjust the consistency of the soup by adding vegetable stock.
  • Now add chilli flakes, black pepper powder and oregano.
  • Bring the soup to a boil and allow it to be thin. Once done, switch off flame and serve hot.


  • Oats- 30 gms
  • Spinach- 50 gms (chopped)
  • Onion- 25 gms (chopped)
  • Garlic- 4 (chopped)
  • Bay leaves- 1
  • Curry leaves- 5
  • Cinnamon stick- 1
  • Pepper powder- ½ tsp
  • Oregano- ½ tsp
  • Chilli flakes- ½ tsp
  • Vegetable stock- 200 ml
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
