Salad Of sprouts

Sprouting process increases the nutrient sprouts.They are rich in fiber and helps in digestion and it lowers the cholesterol. It detoxifies the body. Salad of Sprouts helps in weight loss.


  1. Soak in water whole green gram overnight.
  2. Next day drain off all water, cover and keep aside for the gram to germinate for another day and night.
  3. Next day when the grams have sprouted wash it and boil for few minutes.
  4. Take a bowl add sprouted moong also add chopped onion, green chillies, ginger and cucumber.
  5. Remove skin and seeds of sweet lime or orange. Then add salt, coriander leaves and gently mix everything together.
  6. Refrigerate the salad and serve chill.


Green gram sprouts-1 cup bolied ( 140 gm)

Sweet lime or Oranges-4 or 6 slices

Ginger a small piece

Onions- 1 medium (50 gm)

Green chillies- 1

Cucumber-1 medium (100 gm)

Coriander - 1 tbsp

Salt to taste
