KALE AND FRUIT SMOOTHIE

Kale is one of the healthiest and nutritious food. If you want to boost the amount of nutrients you take in consider loading up on kale. It is high in lutein and zeaxanthin, carotenoid antioxidants that drastically lowers the risk of macular degenerating of cataract and controls daibetes.

Kale smoothie is filled with vitamins, minerals fiber and protein for fullness without overdoing it on fruit or calories. Also, it’s a good way to get in a vegetable like kale if you don’t enjoy eating it.


Method

  1. Take a bowl add kale, pineapple, banana, skim milk, yoghurt, mint leaves and chia seeds.
  2. Grind the mixture in a jar.
  3. Remove in a glass.
  4. Refrigerate for 10-15 mins.
  5. Chilled and healthy Smoothie is ready to drink .

  • Kale: 30 gms
  • Pineapple – 25 gms  
  • Banana – ½ medium banana
  • Skim milk – 50 ml
  • Plain Greek yoghurt (without fat) – 50 gms
  • Chia seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 3-4
